Dear Spencer;
This letter is long overdue and I must apologize for the time it has taken to write to you. As you are aware, my wife Carol and I have relocated to Edmonton for our work and primarily to be closer to our family and new grand daughter. Had it not been for the arrival of our first grandchild, we would have probably stayed living in Medicine Hat for quite some time.
During our 37 years of residing in Medicine Hat, we have moved a number of times into various areas of the city, to various homes, some new and some already existing. In that period of time, we have had the opportunity of having five homes built for us through various builders. As you are aware, the last home we had built in Medicine Hat, was the one Lacey homes built for us in the Somerside sub-division.
Of all the houses we’ve lived in, and all the ones we’ve had built, it gives me great pleasure to tell you that the house built by Lacey was far superior to all the rest. Your company and competent and professional staff, built a house that was a marvellous home, filled with many standard features that no other builder places in their homes.
Upon our move to Edmonton, we were confronted with a vast amount of home builders to choose from in order to either have them build us a home or buy one that was existing and ready to move into.
To be honest with you, I was extremely cautious of who I chose in order to purchase a house from. Not knowing the reputation or the comments people have about builders in this area, we searched through what builders had to offer and what type of quality they presented.
I must say, that of all the builders we encountered, although a few were of quality that would meet my expectations, not one of them, offered the features we had with our Lacey home built 4 years ago. This tells me Spencer, that your company, and the features and workmanship you present are well ahead of anyone on the market.
We were successful in obtaining a well built home in a new sub-division but again, this home does not have many of the features that were standard in your homes. Features, that once a person has had, surely misses when having to do without.
It would give me great pleasure Spencer, at anytime, to be used as a reference for your company and the homes you build.

We would like to graciously thank you for making our home building experience a memorable one. We truly enjoyed every aspect along the way and cannot believe how uneventful things seemed to go.
We loved how you gave us a key as soon as the house was in lock-up, which allowed us to enter the home at any time day or night. (Just in case we got a brain wave to change something, right Sean!)
Speaking of changing things, we appreciated the fact that when we did choose to re-arrange a wall or two... you were more than willing to revise the blueprints to allow us our wishes!!
I was impressed thoroughly when I was told to meet with the carpenter at the house to design my own closets, (as many rods and shelves as I desired) how wonderful!
And last but not least, having this wonderful staff whom we could depend on for opinions and ideas. Having built so many homes you were able to guide us in the right direction, which in the end had turned our house into a beautiful home.

We would like to take this opportunity to say "Thank You" to Lacey Construction for making our house building experience so exciting and enjoyable.
Lacey made our construction extremely easy right from the beginning. Due to the abundance of land choices, to the overflowing binders of house plans, we soon had the house we've always wanted on a lot that was perfect.
They made us feel at home with every organized scheduled meeting, giving us plenty of time to make our important decisions. We found Lacey's team to be very acceptable to our own personal plan changes, pricing on extras, and making our hard earned dollar go as far as it possibly could. We were provided with a very organized sub-contractors schedule, keeping us informed and updated at all times and were encouraged to make frequent visits to ensure everything was to our expectations.
Due to Lacey's high standard of building and their own personnal touches, we were very pleased and proud with the outcome of our new "Lacey" custom built home.
A special thanks to Spencer, Sean, Linda, and Marika for all their hard work. It was greatly appreciated and we would gladly do it all over again.

In mid September 2000, during an afternoon stroll, my wife and I wandered past a house being constructed by your company. This chance occurrence would set in motion a chain of events that would ultimately lead to a new "Lacey" home for my family. It is to this regard that I pen the following remarks.
First of all, preliminary meetings with yourself and business confidante, Linda Brooks, revealed to us sundry positive traits, and reassured my wife and me that we had indeed made the proper decision in selecting Lacey Construction to build our "dream" home. The two of you were sensitive to our initial needs and hankerings, open-minded to our requests, discerning in regards to financial concerns, and adamant about these constraints. From the onset then, we felt that "all cards were on the table", that a bond of trust and honesty had been forged, and that agreed upon construction timelines would, in fact, be met.
Secondly, during the construction phase of the project, the professionalism displayed by you and your associates was outstanding and ongoing. You were accommodating to our whims (and there were many), you were reachable when concerns arose, and then very supportive with an "open ear". You were flexible and understanding in regards to all design changes requested, and obliged our beseeching, expeditiously, in each and every instance.
Furthermore, when it appeared construction was ahead of the initial, agreed upon date, you committed (in writing) to a new time frame, and ultimately, and to our delight, met that deadline as well.
Next, we would be remiss to not recognize the efforts and expertise of certain individuals involved in the project: the aforementioned Linda Brooks, real estate agent extraordinaire; Martika Nemeth, crackerjack office manager; Karen Mitzner, the most meticulous of painters; Kevin Brooks, the most conscientious tile man in town; and Ward King, your outstanding finishing carpenter. All of these specialists contributed significantly to a finished product of which we are totally satisfied and proud of.
Finally, your insistence on quality workmanship (at every stage), pride in the end product, and post-construction follow-ups combine to make "customer satisfaction" a natural offshoot of your business. In fact, our gratification is such that if future circumstances necessitate our involvement in another housing project, our "only" contracting consideration would be LACEY CONSTRUCTION.
